A strategic advisor for the human side of AI.
Rita Crockett is the founder of Automated Woman Advisory, a boutique practice that helps executive teams move from AI curiosity and scattered experimentation to practical, human-centered, governable adoption.
Based in Austin, Texas, Rita works with founders, executives, and leadership teams across the United States — professional-services firms, women-led businesses, and growing small-to-mid-sized organizations — and is especially energized by solopreneurs building AI-native businesses who need a clear path from ambition to action. Her focus is the part most people get wrong: not the tools, but the human decisions that determine whether AI actually works. Resistance, unclear ownership, teams pulling in different directions, technology bolted on faster than culture can absorb it — Rita aligns people, priorities, and strategy so AI creates advantage instead of complexity, and delivers measurable ROI, scalable operations, and stronger ventures.
She has been the strategist behind the leader before. In a fast-scaling venture, Rita served as the de facto strategic advisor to its president — shaping business operations, market and brand positioning, and go-to-market strategy, counseling leadership daily, and guiding relationships with teams and business partners. On the strength of that direction, the company scaled rapidly to a multi-million-dollar exit. She held no formal title; she held the strategy.
That experience is the foundation of her human-in-the-loop philosophy: people and intelligent agents operating as one accountable system, where technology creates more clarity, stronger decisions, and healthier momentum — never less human ownership. It's the throughline of everything she does: the right strategy, delivered to the right leader, at the right moment.
Rita's perspective is grounded in advanced training from MIT xPRO's AI Strategy and Leadership program and the Harvard Data Science Initiative's Agentic AI intensive, alongside ongoing certifications in AI leadership, change management, and governance. She is an active voice in Austin's AI and technology community and mentors founders leading AI-native ventures.
Clarity. Strategy. Execution.
